When LCL can fit
Less than container load combines compatible shipments in a shared container. It can work for a few boxes, crates or pallets when a dedicated container would be excessive. Ask how consolidation, minimum charges and destination handling affect the total.
When FCL can fit
Full container load uses a dedicated container. Larger cargo, loading requirements and privacy can make this option worth reviewing even when the container is not completely full. The quote must include container size, loading point and destination handoff.
Compare the complete route
Compare pickup, ocean transport, handling, customs, local delivery and timing. Neither mode has a universal price advantage. Packed dimensions and weight are essential for a useful comparison.
