Shipping from Canada to Rome via the Napoli warehouse
Rome is not a priced destination on our tariff, so ocean LCL cargo bound for the Italian capital is booked to the destination warehouse (CFS) in Napoli, about 189 km south in a straight line. Returning families, students and small importers of Canadian products use this route. From Toronto or Montreal the transit is about 33 days, from Vancouver about 43, and Toronto is usually the cheapest gateway at roughly USD 6 per cubic foot, with the smallest shipment priced at USD 593.13.
Our price ends at the Napoli CFS. The consignee collects there or hires a local trucker for the run north along the Autostrada del Sole; that leg, Italian duties and taxes are outside the quote. The carrier lists a commercial invoice, the consignee's EORI number and customs clearance in Milan, and destination charges apply, which the carrier confirms before you pay. Pallets or crates must use ISPM 15 heat-treated wood.
How a shipment to Rome works
Rome is not a destination in the carrier's tariff. The closest priced destination is Napoli about 189 km (straight line) from Rome: the A1 price covers ocean freight from Canada to the destination warehouse (CFS) at Napoli. From there the consignee collects the cargo or books the last leg to Rome with a local trucking company; that delivery, destination customs clearance, duties and taxes are not in the A1 price.
