Shipping to Nuremberg and Franconia

Nuremberg (Nürnberg) is Bavaria's second-largest city and the centre of Franconia, known for its medieval old town, its toy fair and its Christmas market. It is also a major logistics hub with a large inland port on the Main-Danube Canal.

Choose Nuremberg for Fürth, Erlangen, Bamberg, Würzburg and northern Bavaria. In the current tariff it is served much faster than Munich, so even consignees in central Bavaria may prefer to collect here.

Nuremberg is a centre for engineering and electronics companies, including Siemens and large automotive suppliers, so commercial shipments of equipment are common. The city is on the A3, A6, A9 and A73 motorways, so collection is easy from anywhere in Franconia. Customs clearance takes place at the Nuremberg office near the terminal.

The Christmas market, the Christkindlesmarkt, makes December very busy in the old town; plan collection outside the centre during Advent. The international toy fair in winter also fills hotels and trucks.
