Shipping to Fukuyama

Fukuyama is the second city of Hiroshima Prefecture, on the Seto Inland Sea near the border with Okayama. It is an industrial city with one of the world's largest steelworks and many manufacturing firms. The port receives cargo for eastern Hiroshima and western Okayama.

Choose Fukuyama for consignees in Fukuyama, Onomichi and Mihara. For Okayama city and Kurashiki, compare Mizushima, which is closer. Commercial shipments are cleared by local customs brokers, and the port is less congested than the large Pacific ports.

Practical tips. Fukuyama is on the Sanyo Shinkansen line, so Hiroshima and Okayama are both within half an hour by train. The castle town near the station is compact, and most residential areas are easy for small trucks to reach. Foreign workers at local factories and shipyards are a growing community; personal effects are cleared with the unaccompanied-articles declaration and the residence card.
