Commercial LCL shipping from Canada to Slovenia
Samples, spare parts, stock for a small shop or goods for a customer abroad do not need a whole container. A1 ships commercial cargo in shared ocean containers (LCL) from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver to Koper and Ljubljana. The rate starts at USD 5 per cubic foot to Koper, and the carrier estimates 33–43 days in transit depending on the gateway and the city.
EU transfer-of-residence relief applies to used household goods, a commercial invoice is required, and personal effects are accepted on carrier approval.
Koper is Slovenia's only port and a major gateway to Austria and Hungary as well. Ljubljana, the capital, is about 110 km inland. Slovenia uses the euro and applies EU customs rules, so commercial importers need an EORI number and households need proof of residence for duty relief.
Commercial LCL to Koper and Ljubljana. A commercial invoice is required for Slovenia, and ISPM 15 applies to all wooden packaging. Koper is the natural destination for importers on the Adriatic and for goods that continue to Austria or Hungary; companies in Ljubljana, Kranj or Maribor may prefer the inland terminal in the capital. The invoice should carry the importer's EORI number and the HS codes. A1 books consignments with an invoice value of up to CAD 2,000, without dangerous goods, delivered already palletized. The carrier confirms the destination charges, which are prepaid in Canada.
Because Koper and Ljubljana share the same transit, a Slovenian importer can choose by convenience alone; the commercial invoice simply names the destination the buyer prefers.

Pallets and crates
Commercial cargo travels palletized or crated. Wood packaging must be ISPM 15 heat-treated and stamped, or the cargo can be refused at the destination. Stack the cartons squarely on the pallet, no wider than the pallet itself, and stretch-wrap and strap them; label every piece with the consignee's name and city in Slovenia. You deliver the cargo, already palletized or crated, to our receiving warehouse in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver: A1 does not offer pickup and does not palletize. The warehouse measures and weighs the cargo, and the final price follows those measurements.
