Commercial LCL shipping from Canada to Peru
Samples, spare parts, stock for a small shop or goods for a customer abroad do not need a whole container. A1 ships commercial cargo in shared ocean containers (LCL) from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver to Callao. The rate starts at USD 9 per cubic foot to Callao, and the carrier estimates 45–57 days in transit depending on the gateway and the city.
Callao is next to Lima's international airport and handles most of Peru's imports; cargo for Arequipa or Cusco continues by road through the Andes. Peru's agricultural service (SENASA) inspects food, plants and wooden items. Commercial importers need a RUC tax number, and the invoice should be in Spanish or English.
For commercial cargo, Peruvian import taxes are the customs duty (0 %, 6 % or 11 % depending on the product), and 18 % IGV, which includes the 2 % municipal tax. Imports above USD 2,000 are cleared through a licensed customs agent, and the importer's RUC must match the commercial invoice and the bill of lading.

Pallets and crates
Commercial cargo travels palletized or crated. Wood packaging must be ISPM 15 heat-treated and stamped, or the cargo can be refused at the destination. Stack the cartons squarely on the pallet, no wider than the pallet itself, and stretch-wrap and strap them; label every piece with the consignee's name and city in Peru. You deliver the cargo, already palletized or crated, to our receiving warehouse in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver: A1 does not offer pickup and does not palletize. The warehouse measures and weighs the cargo, and the final price follows those measurements.
