Commercial LCL shipping from Canada to Myanmar
Samples, spare parts, stock for a small shop or goods for a customer abroad do not need a whole container. A1 ships commercial cargo in shared ocean containers (LCL) from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver to Yangon. The rate starts at USD 5 per cubic foot to Yangon, and the carrier estimates 44–54 days in transit depending on the gateway and the city.
Yangon is Myanmar's main port and commercial city; Mandalay and the north are reached by road or river from Yangon.
Commercial imports require a registered Myanmar importer and, for many goods, an import licence. Personal effects should be discussed with the consignee and a local customs agent before shipping.
English is commonly used in Myanmar business documents, and Yangon remains the commercial centre. Plan extra time: clearance and onward transport in Myanmar can be slow.
LCL for Myanmar businesses. Commercial cargo follows the same routing to Yangon, with the Vancouver warehouse giving the shortest transit. Because licensing rules change, the importer should confirm that the goods can be imported before you deliver them to the warehouse. The commercial invoice should list every item with its HS code, quantity and value, and match the packing list. The invoice value of the consignment may not exceed CAD 2,000. Wooden packaging must be ISPM 15 treated and stamped, and dangerous goods are not accepted. The cargo arrives at our warehouse already palletized or crated, because A1 offers no pickup or palletizing. Allow for about 44 days from Vancouver, or about 54 from Toronto and Montreal, when agreeing a delivery date with the buyer in Yangon, and add time for clearance and the onward journey to Mandalay or the industrial zones around the city.
Yangon receives household goods and commercial cargo on the same service, so both follow the same rule on payment: the carrier does not accept freight collect, and A1 takes payment for the freight and the confirmed destination charges in Canada before departure.

Documents for commercial cargo
- Commercial invoice. Our commercial invoice (PDF): seller and buyer, a clear description of each item, quantity, unit value, total value, currency and country of origin. HS codes help customs in Myanmar classify the goods.
- Packing list. The packing list (PDF) gives the pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight of every pallet, crate or carton, matching the invoice.
- Customs value. The customs value of the shipment may not exceed CAD 2,000.

Pallets and crates
Commercial cargo travels palletized or crated. Wood packaging must be ISPM 15 heat-treated and stamped, or the cargo can be refused at the destination. Stack the cartons squarely on the pallet, no wider than the pallet itself, and stretch-wrap and strap them; label every piece with the consignee's name and city in Myanmar. You deliver the cargo, already palletized or crated, to our receiving warehouse in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver: A1 does not offer pickup and does not palletize. The warehouse measures and weighs the cargo, and the final price follows those measurements.
