Commercial LCL shipping from Canada to Guatemala
Samples, spare parts, stock for a small shop or goods for a customer abroad do not need a whole container. A1 ships commercial cargo in shared ocean containers (LCL) from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver to Guatemala City. The rate starts at USD 10 per cubic foot to Guatemala City, and the carrier estimates 54–65 days in transit depending on the gateway and the city.
Guatemalans returning after living abroad can apply for exemptions on used household goods; other personal shipments pay import duties and VAT. Customs clearance in Guatemala is done through a licensed customs agent, so the consignee should appoint one in advance.
Guatemalan commercial consignments. Importers in and around the capital can receive LCL cargo through the same service. A complete commercial invoice in Spanish or English, with HS codes and realistic unit values, helps the customs agent. Wood packaging must be ISPM 15 treated. Toronto and Montreal save about eleven days over Vancouver for Guatemalan cargo. The invoice value may be up to CAD 2,000, dangerous goods are excluded, and the cargo arrives at our warehouse already palletized. The carrier confirms the destination charges, which are paid in Canada with the booking.
An LCL consignment suits a Guatemalan buyer's small order of spare parts, tools or packaged goods. Give the importer's tax registration and full address on the commercial invoice.

Pallets and crates
Commercial cargo travels palletized or crated. Wood packaging must be ISPM 15 heat-treated and stamped, or the cargo can be refused at the destination. Stack the cartons squarely on the pallet, no wider than the pallet itself, and stretch-wrap and strap them; label every piece with the consignee's name and city in Guatemala. You deliver the cargo, already palletized or crated, to our receiving warehouse in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver: A1 does not offer pickup and does not palletize. The warehouse measures and weighs the cargo, and the final price follows those measurements.
